I concur...I'm glad no one was hurt, but seeing those pics made me cringe. I wish I could offer more help with fixing ur car, but I wouldn't know what I'm doing.
I do know that everything will turn out for the best. Good luck man!
Thanks for your support guys, it really made the difference yesterday. SELOC rocks:)
I have been on the phone with body shops and insurance all day, they are going to let me know tomorrow if the car is totaled or can be repaired, I am having it towed to a shop where I know the guy will be working with me to work with the insurance company, pretty straight up guy that does not want to fix it if it can't be like it was. I was at Classic Collision last night until about 8pm taking everything off I could get to with the expectation it would be totaled, of course I had to leave the suspension and exhaust on so we'll see.
Thanks to all of you guys that stopped by, to Jeff for hanging out until the police showed up an hour later, to Jaimie for hanging out and giving me a lift................and (on a sarcastic note) for the witness that said I was racing (by myself?).
I can't think that anyone who was there yesterday and saw the support I was getting wasn't thinking about selling their car so they could buy a Lexus and join up THANKS GUYS!!!

The movie is Catch Me if You Can!
What do I win?
Guaranteed shotgun seat on a ride?
Might be kinda anticlimactic after riding in rick's car... but the instant boost from the s/c is pretty startling.

Damn...these kind of hits are getting eerily familiar.... front corner everyone........
I am sure everything will turn out fine. Had a similar kind of mishap myself. I am finally done negotiating with my insurance company. I know what hassle it can be.
If you need anything, let us know. We are here to help you. And good luck !!

Well, it has been a while since I have posted out here, have talked to a few of you guys off-line but figured I would put a update out here for those interested.....
It has taken a week to get my car into the body shop and on the frame rack. I initially had the car towed to Classic Collision which is a Progressive Ins. shop. I did not have any problems with this at first but the more I thought about it, it seemed like it could be a conflict of interests. I have a longtime friend who used to paint and do body work before his astma got too bad, and he recommended a guy he had done apprentice work for when he was in high school. To make a long story short, the people at Classic went from nice to extremely unpleasant when I started talking about towing it out, I had to work my way through the chain at Progressive to get it taken care of so that my car would be released to my flatbed driver. SO, two days after the accident it was towed to my body shop. The shop manager is Tony Hunter, he said he would not repair the car unless it could be done 100%, factory parts and end up just like it was when it left the factory. After seeing it apart today, it really isn't that bad, the "frame" part of the unibody is only slightly tweaked, the strut tower part is spot welded to this "frame" rail and the cowl suppport, and can be replaced without compromising the integrity of the car. The cost is already at 80% of the value so it is defintely on the line of being totaled.
More negative for Progressive.....I removed my guage panel, scanner, and PLP shifter in the parking lot at Classic the night of the accident, the passenger window would not close and since no one is liable for theft I figured I would be pro-active......on the original estimate the adjuster wrote that the car looked like it had been stripped, wires on top of the dash, etc. Well, I did put the factory shifter back in and tidy things up, I told the claims rep I did remove my things from the car, what a bunch of idiots.
**If anyboody has a line on any factory wheels/tires for sale please email me at w.r.h.3@juno.com, I need to buy something to swap out for my BBS wheels/Pirelli tires so I can try and recoup some of my investment if it is totaled. Wheels can be in horrible shape and tires can be bald, worse shape and cheaper the better

Bill - glad you're 'dealing with it all' - what a PITA. I haven't frankly heard anything good about Progressive (great rates until you need them to actually do something) so I hope it all works out.
Sounds like you've got it into a good shop now and it sounds like they can get it 100%. But if the cost is borderline I'd always push for it being totalled.
As far as factory rims, there should be bunches of those around. Maybe Amy still has hers since she JUST upgraded.
